My Plan - Part 1

There is no easy way out of the mess we are in now, but the basic principles that will solve this are easy. It seems to me that we (The USA) are digging a hole and somebody (government) keeps calling for bigger tools. First we used a shovel. Then we moved to a bobcat. Now we are using the front end loader. We will probably be using multiples of all of these pretty soon. The funny part is that the hole we are digging may be to bury all of us, because that is exactly what it will do. It has been said that when you find yourself in a hole, to put the shovel down. Why is it that we cannot see that we are causing our own pain, or at least prolonging it. The original hole would have taken less time to crawl out of than the one we have now. It would not have been without pain, but having run its course, it would have brought us to a clean slate with the economy, in a sense. We could have had some "economic reality". Well, enough of my ranting. This crap that is being thrown at us from Washington needs to stop, and that's exactly what it is because it stinks! We are moving toward communism one step at a time and those steps are getting faster and closer together. So, this all needs to come to a halt. It is apparent that the world is no longer happy with the dollar and the heading of our vessel. Ron Paul is starting to not sound so insane now is he? Oh crap, I am on that watch list now of potential terrorists. I call for a steady move back to the gold standard. We should not be spending more than what we have. How about cutting back the budget in hard times instead of making it biger? That's a novel idea. American citizens need to live by those principles again, also. Sarah Palin was the only one with the nerve to say such a thing as well during the campaign. It is time to stop using monopoly money as I have said before, and move back to a truly valued currency. More to come of my plan.....

Through History's Lens!

Throughout the time that mankind has been on this earth, there have been civilizations; some great and some small. Why have the great ones not stood the test of time? Does it not seem that mankind continues to forget what makes us great; what makes us excel? I believe that our great nation is at a pivotal moment in time where we could REMEMBER what made us great, or we could fall. It is not some great thing. The reality of the situation is quite simple, in fact. We must REMEMBER that there is a God in Heaven! We must REMEMBER to give Him thanks for all that we have! We need to REMEMBER that mankind is meant to be free. We also need to REMEMBER how to work together again. Each part of the body works together to make one great whole. We each make up a part of this great body of our nation. Through history's lens we can see that we were once great. It is through faith, my fellow Americans, that we are able to see that we can and will be great again. All we need is action. Now let us work together, and make it so!
