My Plan, Continued...

So, where do we go from here. Since My last post, which was some time ago due to nursing school, I have given much thought to what I would do. I will graduate in August when I then hope to devote every effort in support of this nation. It is one of my strongest desires to serve this great nation in a political capacity. I believe in the foundation of this country and believe we can get back there if we truly want it. I believe there are many Americans who still feel the same way. I hope they are the majority. If they are not, then we are doomed for failure with our current path and plan. If I were to serve, I would start right off the bat with a pay cut for myself and push for pay decreases for all federal politicians. I would work on 50% salary for my first term as a US Congressman. After that I would hopefully have in place a plan for a lower salary cap for all representatives. This is not about money. The will to serve should be about love of this land. That is what I have! I would next go after setting term limits for each and every branch of government, including the judicial branch. No one branch is supposed to be held above another. They are each equal and balancing in their powers; at least they were meant to be that way. Just as the president, the other two branches should be limited to 10 years maximum service in each area. If one served as a congressman for 10 years then they could serve as a senator for 10 years and the president if the people elected them to such positions. That same person could also serve as a judge for 10 years if appointed and that would be the maximum time they could serve in a federal capacity. I almost believe that is too generous but it makes each branch equal and prevents these lifelong politicians from getting too powerful and arrogant. They have become disconnected from the people and need to remember what it means to serve out of love for country and not love of money and a life of ease. I also believe in the financial plan that I stated in my previous plan post. I personally think that President Bush and President Obama and their cronies are worthy of impeachment and imprisonment for the way they have spent our money without the real consent of the people. It is a disgrace and should be a wake up call to the people that they do not care what we, the American people think. It is time to stand up for our country and our future. Our leaders know they are bankrupting us and they continue to lie right to your/my face. We can do this. Let us elect real Americans. Let us stand up and take back a land that was once filled with virtue and integrity. Let's stand for something again. I am asking for your support. I will do everything in my power to do my part. Now is the time to act, before it grows too late. Let us act for our families and our country. Together we can do anything. We are Americans!

My Plan - Part 1

There is no easy way out of the mess we are in now, but the basic principles that will solve this are easy. It seems to me that we (The USA) are digging a hole and somebody (government) keeps calling for bigger tools. First we used a shovel. Then we moved to a bobcat. Now we are using the front end loader. We will probably be using multiples of all of these pretty soon. The funny part is that the hole we are digging may be to bury all of us, because that is exactly what it will do. It has been said that when you find yourself in a hole, to put the shovel down. Why is it that we cannot see that we are causing our own pain, or at least prolonging it. The original hole would have taken less time to crawl out of than the one we have now. It would not have been without pain, but having run its course, it would have brought us to a clean slate with the economy, in a sense. We could have had some "economic reality". Well, enough of my ranting. This crap that is being thrown at us from Washington needs to stop, and that's exactly what it is because it stinks! We are moving toward communism one step at a time and those steps are getting faster and closer together. So, this all needs to come to a halt. It is apparent that the world is no longer happy with the dollar and the heading of our vessel. Ron Paul is starting to not sound so insane now is he? Oh crap, I am on that watch list now of potential terrorists. I call for a steady move back to the gold standard. We should not be spending more than what we have. How about cutting back the budget in hard times instead of making it biger? That's a novel idea. American citizens need to live by those principles again, also. Sarah Palin was the only one with the nerve to say such a thing as well during the campaign. It is time to stop using monopoly money as I have said before, and move back to a truly valued currency. More to come of my plan.....

Through History's Lens!

Throughout the time that mankind has been on this earth, there have been civilizations; some great and some small. Why have the great ones not stood the test of time? Does it not seem that mankind continues to forget what makes us great; what makes us excel? I believe that our great nation is at a pivotal moment in time where we could REMEMBER what made us great, or we could fall. It is not some great thing. The reality of the situation is quite simple, in fact. We must REMEMBER that there is a God in Heaven! We must REMEMBER to give Him thanks for all that we have! We need to REMEMBER that mankind is meant to be free. We also need to REMEMBER how to work together again. Each part of the body works together to make one great whole. We each make up a part of this great body of our nation. Through history's lens we can see that we were once great. It is through faith, my fellow Americans, that we are able to see that we can and will be great again. All we need is action. Now let us work together, and make it so!
